This year room 6 created a comedy film for the Manaiakalani Film Festival. We tried to think of something funny that relates to everyone. We all love food.. and we all need to listen to our parents.

Space Animation

The Great Space Escape

This term, Pt England School is learning about space. The year 5 and 6's have been thinking about what we'd do if we had to escape planet Earth. What would happen if we didn't have clean air or water? What would happen if Earth flooded? We'd have to find a new planet to live on!

Hilary and Hazel made some great animations about escaping Earth. Enjoy!

Viliami and Junior's Solar System Rap

This week, team 4 has been learning about the order of the planets in the Solar System. Mrs Stickland had the awesome idea of getting her literacy class to write raps about the planets in the solar system. Viliami and Junior continued working hard on their rap with Mr Somerville for the rest of the day. This is what they produced!

Guardians of the Galaxy

Welcome to term 3! This term, our school theme is Guardians of the Galaxy. I am so excited for this term because we will be learning all about space! 

Team 4 is going to learn about the key elements that humans need for survival. What would happen if we could no longer survive on planet Earth? We would have to search for a new planet to live on! Perhaps Mars?

On Wednesday, team 4 had an awesome Space Day! Our classroom turned into a Mission Control room and everyone visited different teachers to have the full space experience. 

We tried space food, went to a Space Bootcamp and watched some pretty cool space videos!

Swimming Lessons with Team 4

This term we had swimming lessons! All of team 4 (the year 5 and 6 students) went swimming almost every day for three weeks.

Year 5 & 6 Camp

Today I am going to write about the year 5 and 6 camp in Pt England School. This was my second time at the Pt England School camp.

The year 5 and 6 had a camp at Pt England School. I was so excited to play all the activities with all the student and the teachers. All of the year 5 and 6 had to line up into their groups. Every time we have camps at Pt England School we need to have our group names. There were 6 teams in our camp they were could the Sheriff's, Principals, Presidents, Generals, Chiefs and Captains and the team that I was in was could the Chiefs. There were lots of people in my team. The leaders in my team was Chastity and Tupaia. Our first activity was practising our dance for the concert.

My favourite thing at camp was doing Kayaking, Swimming, Movie night, Just dance, Get lost and the concert. Team 4 gets to swim every day and gets to do kayaking with Mr Burt we had a movie night and the movie that we watched was called the Stokes it was a funny movie. We even get to do just dance every morning and we get to play a fun game called Get lost.

The year 5 and 6 would like to say a big thank you to the parents and the teachers thank you for all of your yummy food and thank you for looking after us at the night we couldn't done it without you. Thank you for your help.

Year 5 and 6 Camp 2017

Last week was the year 5 and 6 camp! We had our own tent city on the school field and had awesome activities like kayaking, swimming and outdoor games. We even had our own dance show.  Camp was three days long and it was jam packed with lots of food, fun and laughter. Meal time was the best. We loved the nachos and ice cream!
